ABOUT THE ORGANISATION:
Ipswich Flexible Learning Centre is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition with approximately 100 young people enrolled. There are 22 Flexible Learning Centres (FLCs) throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and FLCs respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible Learning Centre is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position exists to provide leadership support across the Ipswich Flexible School. This leadership role is broad in its scope and encompasses supporting the Head of Campus for the Ipswich Campus and managing the day-to-day operations. This role will be remunerated at an Assistant Principal level.
This position is full-time fixed-term until May 2032 commencing as soon as possible. Due to the EREAFS restructure this position has been filled in an acting capacity. The position is now being advertised for a four plus four-year contract and is open for applications from internal and external applicants.

ABOUT YOU:
- Tertiary qualifications in Teaching with eligibility for teacher registration with Queensland College of Teachers and current open driver’s license and willingness to drive school bus.
- Commitment to and ability to lead a multi-disciplinary community.
- Demonstrated leadership of the development and maintenance of programs for young people at risk.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to provide leadership in trauma transformative practice and wellbeing support.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing a range of learning choices and assessments that meet the diverse characteristics.
