- Salary range: Services Staff Level 4 - $73,331 - $75,637
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd currently educates over 2,400 young people in 21 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 9 other schools across Australia) and two Special Education Services Schools in NSW, with approximately 700 staff nationally. Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses.
They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co-create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded. Our special schools serve young people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Grounds and Facilities Officer support the safe, functional and welcoming operation of the school by maintaining buildings, grounds, plant and equipment in accordance with organisational priorities and workplace health and safety requirements.

ABOUT YOU
Essential:
- Previous experience and/or skills required for the position as Grounds and Facilities Officer
- Ability to build rapport with young people and staff at the school
- Understanding of OH&S practices and procedures
- Sound level of communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines, multi-task, prioritise the workload, work autonomously and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Current Queensland Driver’s License
- Current, valid Blue Card (or the ability to obtain)
Desirable:
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
