ABOUT US

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd currently educates over 2,400 young people in 21 Flexible Schools (12 based in Queensland and 9 other schools across Australia) and two Special Education Services Schools in NSW, with approximately 700 staff nationally. Flexi Schools service young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, in which the principles of operation (Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal) are embedded. As a part of the broader EREA family, the organisation is shaped by the four touchstones of the EREA Charter: Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, Liberating Education, and Justice and Solidarity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Typical duties and responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

• Daily cleaning of all toilets.
• Daily cleaning of the staff and student kitchen areas.
• Cleaning of the offices and staff areas.
• Cleaning of classrooms in use.
• Other periodic cleaning (monthly/school holiday periods) as required.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven ability to work under limited supervision and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Current and valid blue card or the ability to obtain one.
• Current first aid certificate or ability to obtain.
• Current and valid Queensland Driver’s License.
