ABOUT US
Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd currently educates over 2,400 young people in 21 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 9 other schools across Australia) and two Special Education Services Schools in NSW, with approximately 700 staff nationally. Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co-create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded. Our special schools serve young people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities..
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Administration Officer provides responsive, front-line administrative support that ensures the smooth daily operation of the school. As the first point of contact for young people, families, and the community, this role fosters a welcoming and trauma-informed environment aligned with the values of the Edmund Rice tradition.
Working closely with the Head of Campus, the Senior Administration Officer manages competing priorities, maintains accurate data and records, and supports compliance with key administrative, safeguarding, and reporting requirements. This role contributes to a culture of care, professionalism, and inclusion within the school community.

ABOUT YOU
Essential:
- A Working with Children Clearance Notice (Blue Card)
- Current driver’s licence (essential) or Light Rigid license (highly desirable)
Highly Desirable:
- Able to demonstrate the high-level communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in a complex and layered organisational structure.
- Ability to diagnose problems, foresee potential issues and devise appropriate responses.
- Ability to work in and collaborate across teams with integrity and humility.
- Proven experience as an Administration Officer or in a similar role.
- Excellent organisation, administration, and prioritisation skills.
- Competency in arranging meetings/events.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to draft professional correspondence.
- A courteous, engaging, and efficient manner, with a customer service focus
- Effective time management, achieving deadlines and follow up actions.
- Confidence to see out information as requested.
- Proactive approach and high levels of initiative
- Competency using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams (and learning new software.
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- A commitment to the ongoing and proactive protection and safeguarding of children, young people, and adults at risk of abuse
- Previous experience in the youth sector with knowledge and understanding of the local First Nations communities.
