ABOUT US
St Laurence Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. There are 23 Flexible Schools throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and flexible schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co-create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded. Our special schools serve young people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Executive Assistant is responsible for daily administrative support and acts under the direction of the Head of Campus. The role will play a significant part in the vision of EREA to support all young people to learn and thrive in their life beyond school.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Supporting young people and front of house operation
- Reporting and Compliance
- Staff Records and Compliance
- Referral and Enrolment Processes and Young Person data entry
- Financial Management
- Workplace, Health and Safety
- Cleaning, Maintenance and Infrastructure Development
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare agendas, attend meetings, take minutes and track actions.
- Deliver ad-hoc administrative support across varied tasks and projects.
About You
- Experience as an Executive Assistant (education sector experience ideal but not essential).
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- Proven senior leadership experience, both strategic and operational, characterised by strong organisational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills, particularly in relation to areas outlined in this position.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Able to demonstrate the high-level communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in a complex and layered organisational structure.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and uncompromising attention to detail.
- Appropriate qualifications for word processing and online student information systems
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement.
- Collaborative, diplomatic and confident engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
