ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Edmund Rice Flexi School offers a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Flexible Schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices, including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The SACE /Skills and Pathways Leader will oversee all SACE, VET and Career counselling coordination for Edmund Rice Flexi School - Elizabeth Campus. They will engage young people in explorations and dialogue about their pathways beyond school. This includes but not limited to:
- Manage the registration and enrolment of students to ensure they meet the subject patterns required by SACE
- Ensure students meet the requirements of the SACE Board of SA
- Ensure VET enrolment, results and qualifications data meet SACE and reporting deadlines
- Develop and deliver career education programmes for years 10, 11 & 12 students
- Develop and lead career counselling with young people, parents and staff
- Maintain regular communication with RTOs, VET in schools consulting services, apprenticeship industry groups, employers and community employment support agencies Careers
- Build positive relationships with parents, young people and staff as appropriate to young people needs, to support their opportunities beyond school.

ABOUT YOU
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition
- A registered teacher with demonstrated competence in teaching and learning in the classroom.
- Experience teaching SACE subjects and an ability to oversee SACE requirements from Year 10 – 12.
- A visionary approach to Skills and Pathways program(s) across the school.
- Demonstrated success in meeting regulatory requirements form the SACE board.
- Experience preferably with VET or Career Counselling.
- Applicants must hold or have the ability to attain a DHS Working with Children Check and a SAVA clearance through the Archdiocese of Adelaide before commencement as per legislation.
- Current Responding to Abuse & Neglect Training or a willingness to obtain.
