ABOUT THE ROLE:

The IT Services Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively through a shared service model across all EREA Flexible Schools. The role focuses on managing the delivery of IT services, coordinating service delivery teams, and ensuring that systems and underlying infrastructure are reliable, secure, and aligned with Flexible Schools' goals and policies within the shared service framework.

The IT Services Delivery Manager is required to model and deliver best practice IT service delivery; maintain compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures; provide strategic oversight of service delivery operations; and lead the coordination and management of IT service delivery across the distributed school and office network.

The IT Services Delivery Manager reports to the Director of IT and is a senior member of the Flexi IT Team. The IT Services Team consists of the IT Services Delivery Manager, an IT Services lead, administrators and support staff that work in conjunction with the IT Solutions Team to form the complete Flexi IT Team. The Flexi IT Team is led by the Director of IT.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
  • Familiarity with education sector IT requirements and best practices is desirable.
  • Experience in shared service delivery models and distributed service management is highly desirable.
  • Appropriate qualifications and relevant professional experience:

    - A degree or post graduate qualification in information technology, information systems, or service management from a recognised tertiary institution, or other relevant qualification, would be well regarded.

    - Relevant industry qualifications in IT service management and/or IT service frameworks (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library) would be well regarded.

    - Relevant industry qualifications in project management and/or project management frameworks would be well regarded.

    - Experience in service delivery management, particularly in distributed or multi-site environments, would be highly valued.
  • Proven experience in managing service delivery operations in complex organisational environments.
  • Able to demonstrate high-level communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in a complex and layered organisational structure.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capacity to fulfil the functions of the role and support the Director of IT.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across distributed teams and locations.
  • Ability to diagnose service delivery problems, foresee potential issues and devise appropriate responses.
  • Ability to develop collaboration, trust and confidence through listening, effective communication, and humility.

  11. EREA’s Privacy Policy is accessible via the school website or from the school office. The Policy sets out how job applicants and employees may seek access to, and correction of their personal information which the school has collected and holds. However, access may be refused in certain circumstances such as where access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others or may result in a breach of the School’s duty of care obligations. Any refusal will be notified in writing with reasons if appropriate.
