ABOUT US
Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd currently educates over 2,400 young people in 21 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 9 other schools across Australia) and two Special Education Services Schools in NSW, with approximately 700 staff nationally. Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co-create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded. Our special schools serve young people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for co-ordinating the recruitment and onboarding of staff, administration of employment documentation, accurate employee payroll data management and overseeing exit practices in conjunction with Management. The role will act in a support capacity on key HR projects as required.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an Advisor level role
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, Fair Work and Work Health and Safety Acts and Regulations)
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills (in particular, Word and Excel)
- Autonomous, with demonstrated initiative and motivation to manage competing priorities, monitor progress, and meet operational demands
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication (both written and verbal) skills to effectively collaborate with administrators, staff, and external stakeholders in an articulate and professional manner
- Ability to establish cooperative and positive working relationships to work as an effective team member or independently, in an agile and responsive manner
- Demonstrated professionalism and integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion as required
- Ability to diagnose problems, foresee potential issues and devise appropriate responses
- Ability to lead, work in, and collaborate across teams with integrity and humility
