ABOUT THE ORGANISATION:
Pambula Beach Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. There are 22 Flexible Schools throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and flexible schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Due to the success of our school, we have a variety of new roles. In 2024, our enrolment increased by 57%. A powerful affirmation from the community that our school works. In order to support greater numbers of young people, we need more terrific humans to join our team in 2025 and beyond.
We are looking for an Associate Head of Campus to join our team for the 2025 school year. This full-time position works collaboratively with the Head of Campus.
Our school specialises in outdoor education. We teach young people how to bush cook, surf, snorkel, toboggan, mountain bike, canoe and more! We do this for one full day each week. If regular school teaching isn’t lighting you up like it used to, it is time for a change. This will challenge, excite, and ignite your desire to take young people on lofty leaps in their academic and personal development.

This role requires a person with the passion and skills to provide leadership support across the site. This leadership role is broad in its scope and focus across the total operations of the site working across portfolios on a strength-based framework. The role works in close cooperation to complement the strengths and skills of the Head of Campus. The role will have a strong element of Wellbeing Co-ordination with support from the Area Principal and the Regional Support Team.
The role will also have curriculum delivery responsibilities to a class group as well as a focus on Wellbeing across the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Head of Campus will carry responsibilities across portfolios with a focus on Wellbeing, to support the operations of the school. They will assist in the leadership of the day-to-day activities of the site, in cooperation with the Head of Campus in keeping with ‘Operation by Principles’, to enact all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and legislative requirements.
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous experience in diverse educational environments expected
- Previous experience at a leadership level is well regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Teaching with current teacher registration with NESA
- The Associate Head of Campus is required to demonstrate leadership involving self-directed application of knowledge with depth in wellbeing and inclusive practices
- Hold a current clean Drivers Licence (transport of young people is required)
- A positive NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) (essential)
