ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Rockhampton Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. There are 23 Flexible Schools throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and FLCs respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Administration Officer in this role will provide support to the Head of Campus and staff at Rockhampton Flexible School. As the first point of contact at reception, they will greet and assist visitors, guests, and families, representing the school with professionalism and warmth.
This position reports directly to the Head of Campus at Rockhampton Flexible School.

ABOUT YOU
- Relevant certificate/degree and/or previous Administration experience
- Experience working in a school environment
- Understanding of service provision to marginalised young people particularly within the alternate education sector.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills, including participating in meeting processes, report writing and negotiation skills.
- Comprehensive experience with computer applications such as databases, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and web technology is essential
- Ability to work to deadlines, multi-task, prioritise the workload, work autonomously and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
